Barbara Bowden, an East Texas native, graduating from Whitehouse High School.  After high school, she attended Tyler Junior College and graduated from Texas A & M at Commerce with a B. S. in Elementary Education.  She received her master’s degree in reading and her mid-management certification from The University of Texas at Tyler.  In 1999, her husband, Danny, accepted a job in Waco and they moved to China Spring with their two children, Hunter and Laurie, both of whom graduated from China Spring.    Mrs. Bowden started teaching in China Spring in 2002.

Mrs. Bowden’s educational experiences include teaching grades PK – 8, a consultant for Region VII ESC in Kilgore, a lecturer for The University of Texas at Tyler, an Intervention Coordinator and Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction.  In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family, listen to oldies music, attend Baylor and Texas A & M sporting events, read, and play card games.
