Cherish Hermes earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University in 1992 and began her teaching career working for her hometown of Mexia.  She also worked as a teacher in Corsicana and Axtell before earning her Masters of Education Degree from Mary Hardin Baylor University in 1998. 

Cherish worked as a diagnostician in Robinson and Bosqueville and became the Director of Special Education at Bosqueville in 2002 where she served as Director for 7 years.  In 2009 Cherish began working as the Associate Director of Operations for the Center for Learning & Development (an educational non-profit that specializes in helping struggling learners become successful students). 

In March 2011, Cherish began working with China Spring ISD as the Director of Special Education.  She is married to Andrew and they have two children, Chase and Drew.  Her family has lived in China Spring since 2006 where her children have attended China Spring Elementary School and China Spring Intermediate School.
