Judy Weeden earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Baylor University and her Master’s Degree in Education from Tarleton State University.
Judy Weeden began her career at China Spring Elementary School by substitute teaching. She then served as a 3rd grade teacher for 21 years before moving into an administrative role. After serving as special programs facilitator and assistant principal for five years, she became principal in the fall of 2007. She is especially proud of the elementary school’s 08-09 rating of Exemplary.
Mrs. Weeden and her husband, Larry, have lived in China Spring for over thirty years. They have three children: Jennifer Manning and husband, John; Eric Weeden, and Sarah Weeden. They all graduated from China Spring High School and UMHB in Belton. Mrs. Weeden enjoys spending time with her grandson, Kaden.
Mrs. Weeden has been honored by the Waco Higher Education Consortium as an Outstanding Teacher. She also received a life time membership of the Texas PTA for her service at China Spring Elementary. Her most treasured honor has been to have former students recognize her in Who’s Who Among Texas Teachers.
In her spare time, Mrs. Weeden likes to watch various sports, especially Texas Ranger baseball. She also enjoys riding with Mr. Weeden on his Harley motorcycle.
