Linda Mitchell received her formal education from Waco High School and McLennan Community College. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University in 1974. Prior to coming to China Spring ISD in 1990 she worked in the public sector. In 1994, she assumed the position of Business Manager for the district.

Mrs. Mitchell and her husband, Randy are the proud parents of Jonathan and Elizabeth and grandparents of Katherine and Dustin McCullough. Randy, Jonathan, and Elizabeth are all graduates of China Spring High School.
