Marcie Bennett received her formal education from McGregor High School, McLennan Community College, Sam Houston State University, and Baylor University.   During her thirty plus years as an educator in the Waco area, she has taught kindergarten, elementary science, middle school science, and served as an administrator.  She made China Spring her home in 1991.  Ms. Bennett has been an administrator for the China Spring Elementary, Intermediate, and Middle School campuses.

Her family consists of one son, John, and his wife, Amy, who are both China Spring and Texas A&M graduates.

She is also extensively involved in her church, ranching, and real estate.
