Mr. Compton’s family consists of his wife, Susan, who is a home town girl and a realtor with Premier in Waco; two daughters, Sarah and Erin; three sons, Tyler, Tanner, and Eli.  Sarah, the oldest, is a graduate of Texas A&M.
Mr. Compton graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University (Bachelor of Business Administration and Master’s in Education).  He started his career in education in 1989 in Garrison, Texas for one year before moving to Nacogdoches High School for seven years where he coached baseball and football while teaching U.S. History and Economics.  He then moved to Pollok-Central for eleven years, eight as the head baseball coach/assistant athletic director/teacher and three as a school administrator, before coming to China Spring.  Mr. Compton spent sixteen years coaching baseball and football and teaching Social Studies before moving into school administration.
