Miranda Brown came to China Spring ISD in July of 1995 as Middle and High School Counselor.  She began her first ten years in education with three years at Covington ISD and seven years at Whitney ISD.  During this time she was a Junior High and High School girls coach (volleyball, basketball, and track), Business teacher, computer science teacher, yearbook sponsor, UIL Academic coach, and high school counselor.
Growing up in Woodson, Texas, Miranda graduated in 1982 as salutatorian from Woodson High School.  She then attended Tarleton State University, played basketball for the TexAnns, and graduated with honors in three years with a B.S. degree.  Continuing her education at Tarleton she completed her M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling within the next three years.  In 2009 she completed the PPCP at Region XII with principal certification.
Professional accomplishments would include being named the Heart of Texas Counselors Association Counselor of the Year for 2005-2006. In 2010 she was named the FCSTAT (Family and Consumer Science Teachers Association of Texas) Outstanding Counselor of the year.
Miranda is married to Joel and has one daughter.  She enjoys deer hunting, bass tournament fishing, officiating volleyball, being a Christian, riding motorcycles, and her family.
