Faculty and Staff Members for the Month of November

I would like for you all to join me in congratulating the Faculty and Staff members of the Month for November. These outstanding team members have gone above and beyond the call of duty for the betterment of our district. If you see them in your hallways or on your campuses please congratulate them.

Elementary Faculty Member of the Month  It is my pleasure to nominate and present Mrs. Laura Lambert as the Elementary Faculty Member of the Month of November. Mrs. Lambert is a first grade math, science, and social studies teacher at the elementary campus. She is a team player and always puts the interests of her students and fellow colleagues above her own. Mrs. Lambert has done an exceptional job implementing the Conscious Discipline program in her classroom. She attended the Conscious Discipline conference in Ft. Worth last spring, in which a small group of staff members came back from the conference with the intent to promote and help to implement the skills, rituals, and routines of Conscious Discipline campus-wide. Mrs. Lambert has done just that. Specifically in her classroom, Mrs. Lambert uses the Conscious Discipline language and routines to teach students how to self-regulate their emotions. She role-plays various conflict scenarios weekly with her students in order for them to practice their self-regulation and problem-solving skills in a safe and positive environment. Mrs. Lambert is also a student-centered teacher. She plans engaging lessons for her students to learn skills that they can apply in their own lives. Students are often found working in groups around the room, completing fun activities to practice math skills, whether they are board, dice, or card games, sorting activities, iPads, or using manipulatives to do math. Above all else, she loves and cares for each one of her students deeply, and strives to meet their unique and individual needs every day. We are blessed to have Mrs. Laura Lambert as a part of our team here at China Spring Elementary! Congratulations!!

Secondary Faculty Member of the Month – Congratulations to Mrs. Alicia Pulcine, Spanish Teacher at the High School, for being nominated and selected as the Secondary Faculty Member of the Month. She is very deserving of this honor and has made a huge difference at CSHS during her short time here.  She personifies someone that got into to teaching because she has a personal love for learning and student success.  She gives up countless hours outside of the normal school day to support her students in all of their events.  She also agreed this year to serve as the co-sponsor of the Student Council.  She always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude that rubs off on everyone else at the high school.  Her knack for outside-of-the- box lessons make a difficult subject enjoyable and manageable.  CSHS is lucky to have Mrs. Pulcine. Congratulations Mrs. Pulcine on being the Secondary Faculty Member of the Month.

Staff Member of the Month – It is my pleasure to congratulate Mrs. Kelly Warner, Elementary Receptionist, for being nominated and selected as the Staff Member of the Month of November.  Her Principal, Mrs. Coe, stated, "Mrs. Warner comes to work every day with a smile on her face and a positive attitude.  She goes above and beyond as she greets and assists EVERY SINGLE PERSON who enters the school, greeting the majority of them by name. Mrs. Warner makes her job look easy with her go-getter work ethic, calm demeanor, and ready smile. She takes initiative to jump in and help out whenever needed, and never has to be told what to do next.  Mrs. Warner never says, "that's not my job," she just says, "what can I do to help you?"  She is truly an asset to our school and a pleasure to work with.  Mrs. Warner is a great team player and a valuable member of our staff." Congratulations Mrs. Warner on being the Staff Member of the Month.
