I hope everyone is having a great week! I would like for you all to join me in congratulating the Faculty and Staff members of the Month for January. These outstanding team members have gone above and beyond the call of duty for the betterment of our district. If you see them in your hallways or on your campuses please congratulate them.
Elementary Faculty Member of the Month – Congratulations to Mrs. Tricia Begesse for being selected as the Faculty Member of the Month. Her principal, Mrs. Coe, stated, “Tricia is very deserving of this special recognition. She is a great teacher who has created a fun and engaging learning environment for her students. Tricia is creative in her teaching, keeping it active and keeping the students engaged. She utilizes technology, best teaching practices and unforgettable experiences to help each and every one of her students reach their greatest potential.” Her team teaching partner in crime, Mrs. Melissa Vaughn, stated, “She works tirelessly to provide unique educational experiences for her students. Tricia chooses to plan to meet her students’ needs, not planning what's easy for the teacher. I've seen our students grow tremendously through our partnership. She is always exploring and trying to learn new things, especially with technology, to enhance learning in the classroom, or teacher tools to help with instruction, planning, or assessment.” CSISD Instructional Technologist, Mrs. Kari Espin stated, “Tricia strives to make her classroom student focused and makes learning fun and meaningful for all of her students. Students in her class love to learn through exploration in her STEM centers and love to show what they have learned to other students or their parents on Seesaw. She has done a tremendous job integrating technology in her classroom to best meet the needs of students.” Congratulations to Mrs. Begesse and we are so grateful that she is a part of our elementary school family!
Secondary Faculty Member of the Month – Congratulations to Mrs. Jenny Hoffman on being selected as the Secondary Faculty Member of the Month. Mrs. Hoffman teaches Spanish and Speech on the high school campus. Mrs. Hoffman stands out, thanks in large part, to her ability to build positive relationships with her students that are in her class. Mrs. Hoffman is able to make a difficult subject easy to understand and, because of this, her students are always successful. Mrs. Hoffman is a team player and is willing to help wherever she is needed. You can find her everyday each period in the hall with a smile on her face greeting students. She is a leader on our campus and is always willing to help others any way she can. She also is the director of the CSMS One Act Play each spring. This takes countless hours of her time and makes such an impact on our theatre arts students. Her positive attitude and work ethic are top notch and she is a true asset to the high school campus. We are very happy to have her as part of our CSHS family! Congratulations Mrs. Hoffman on being the Secondary Faculty Member of the Month.
Staff Member of the Month – Congratulations to Johnny Thompson, library aide and go to guy at the middle school, for being selected as the Staff Member of the Month. Mr. Thompson comes to work every day with a big smile on his face and a truly positive attitude. He is quick to jump in and volunteer to help out without even being asked. In addition to his library duties, he fills in and drives different bus routes, covers classes, and helps monitor the hallways and cafeteria. He has also brought a lot of fresh ideas to help renovate the library into a hands-on collaborative space for classes to use and is in the process of adding to our Maker’s Space. With his fun loving spirit and laughter, it is evident that Mr. Thompson loves students and brings that joy to work every day. His passion for what he loves is contagious to all those around him. Mr. Thompson is a very deserving candidate for the January Staff Member of the Month. Congratulations Mr. Thompson on being our Staff Member of the Month for January.
