Faculty and Staff Members for the Month of February

I hope everyone is having a great week! I would like for you all to join me in congratulating the Faculty and Staff members of the Month for February. These outstanding team members have gone above and beyond the call of duty for the betterment of our district. If you see them in your hallways or on your campuses please congratulate them.

Elementary Faculty Member of the Month  Congratulations to Mrs. Keri Stewart for being selected as the Faculty Member of the Month. Her principal states “her zest and spirit for life is always evident in all she does! She embraced the challenge of changing content this year from Reading to Math, Science, and SS. When you go into her class you can’t help but get caught up in the excitement of the class - and its excitement no matter what they are learning, input output tables in math, erosion in Science, or Black History lessons in SS. She is upbeat, happy, and looks for joy in her journey through education, motherhood, and life. Her smile is contagious and her attitude is determined and persistent.  Her team members say “Mrs. Stewart is a vital part of the fourth grade team. She plans fun and engaging lessons for all students to be successful. Her classroom is a lively place where students know her expectations and can thrive.” Thank you Keri for doing what you do every day to change students’ lives for the better! Congratulations to Mrs. Stewart and we are so grateful that she is a part of our Intermediate School family!

Secondary Faculty Member of the Month – Congratulations to Mrs. Kim Seale on being selected as the Secondary Faculty Member of the Month.  Mrs. Seale is a very deserving candidate for Faculty Member of the Month!  When you walk into her classroom you are amazed by all of the different tools and techniques she uses to make U.S. History come alive and be relevant for our students today!  I love being in her room and seeing the lessons unfold.  She has done everything from court trials about Andrew Jackson to Declaration of Independence Escape Room to Under Ground Railroad Missions around the school!  Ms. Seale thinks outside the box to engage her students in meaningful hands-on learning experiences.  She is dedicated to continued learning, and when she learns a new neat tool that she thinks could be helpful to others, she is always willing to come share and demonstrate that tool at faculty meetings or in-service opportunities. Countless hours go into preparing for all of her wonderful activities that she has ready and prepared for her students each and every day. On top of her fabulous lessons, she also excels at making and forming relationships with the students in her class.  U.S. History is a very tough subject with many TEKS to cover, and she does it in a way that not only teaches the content but also fosters a love of learning for her students.  Ms. Seale is an asset to our campus, our Middle School family, and is very deserving of this honor! Congratulations Mrs. Seale on being the Secondary Faculty Member of the Month.

Staff Member of the Month – Congratulations to Krystal Tice, administrative assistant at the Intermediate, for being selected as the Staff Member of the Month. Mr. Ross states “Krystal Tice is a calming force around our very busy office at China Spring Intermediate.  She is incredibly poised and supremely talented at being multi-focused.  More importantly she is a master preparer of the campus popcorn of Fridays! Beyond Krystal's abilities to do her job with excellence and a high degree of professionalism, the more impressive trait I observe is her sense of care and concern for the China Spring community - our parents, students, and teachers.  Our district, and certainly our campus, is so fortunate to have Krystal Tice as a Cougar!” Mrs. Jenkins reiterates Mr. Ross's intents as well and adds that “Krystal has been instrumental in our good attendance. She is diligent with absences, excuse notes, and attendance letters. She understands the gravity of her position and of being an employee that represents China Spring with every person that walks through our door. She is a blessing to us daily and we know she makes our campus the best it can be!” Congratulations Mrs. Tice on being our Staff Member of the Month for February.  (Not Pictured)

Again, congratulations and keep doing such a fantastic job for the students and staff of CSISD!
