Students in China Spring ISD are encouraged to attend school and receive instruction in a face-to-face format for the 2020-2021 school year. China Spring ISD is collecting information about the learning format you intend for your child(ren) to participate in when school starts on August 19, 2020. The following formats will be used:
For in-person learning, students will report to their campus for regular classroom instruction unless it is determined that students need to pivot to distance learning from home for a period of time. This scenario will include a blended instructional platform that involves in person instruction with the use of Schoology as the Learning Management System (LMS) in grades PK-12.
Online learning from home in the 2020-2021 school year will be closely aligned to what students will experience in the in person environment to the extent possible, but will have additional expectations other than what was experienced last Spring when all students were learning in a virtual setting.
Online students must be engaged and must participate in all required coursework and virtual lessons during normal school hours.
Online students will be required to participate in all tutoring sessions and/or video conferencing required by the teachers.
For some accelerated and advanced high school weighted courses and many CTE courses, online students must report to a designated campus on assigned days and times as directed by their teacher.
PK-3rd grade online students must have a parent or an adult present to facilitate learning each day.
Note: In person instruction is highly recommended for any student who experienced difficulty or was unsuccessful in the online learning platform in the spring of 2020.
