Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are an incredible opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience, explore high-demand career fields, and graduate with industry-based certifications (IBCs) that prepare them for college or a career after high school.

At China Spring ISD, we currently offer 10 CTE programs, including nursing, culinary arts, engineering, and more. The district secures available state funding by supporting students through full completion of these programs and helping them earn certifications. However, to reach that point, the district must make an initial investment, purchasing supplies, equipment, and specialized resources like nursing kits, culinary tools, and even an airplane for our Tango Flight program.

While these programs generate state funding based on student outcomes, the district must first fund the resources that make student success possible. If the VATRE passes, we will have the funding needed to continue offering, and expanding, valuable opportunities like CTE programs that prepare our students for life beyond graduation.
