THIS IS A TAX INCREASE
Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $ .98192 in China Spring ISD for the current year, a rate that will result in an increase of 6.5% in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the district for the current year as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional $2,164,622.

A vote FOR:

  • Overall school tax rate is $0.98192, a 3.7¢ decrease from 2024.

  • CSISD receives $2.16 million increase to Maintenance & Operations from state and local funding.

  • 2024 budget deficit to be addressed and additional funding will support efforts to recruit and retain quality teachers and staff, maintain class sizes and student opportunities.

A vote AGAINST:

  • Overall tax rate is $0.92192, a nearly 10¢ decrease from 2024 due to compression.

  • CSISD does not receive additional Maintenance & Operations funding.

  • 2024 budget deficit is $1.2 million to be addressed through reduction in staffing.
