It’s with great anticipation that we welcome you to the 2025-2026  school year. Please refer to the below reminders for tomorrow morning as well as reference the morning drop-off map and afternoon pick-up maps for those of you whose student(s) arrive and leave by car. A few reminders:

From Dr. Dominguez

  • Our teachers are excited and ready to greet our students with smiling faces on Monday, August 4! We are going to have a great year!  

  • Doors to the middle school open at 7:00 am. Buses begin arriving at 7:15 and the typical drop-off time is 7:30 for most MS students.

  • Morning Drop-Off and Afternoon Pick-up

    • Morning drop-off is outside the gym at 7:30 am. See attached map. The circle drive in front of the school is reserved for bus drop-off.

    • Afternoon pick-up happens in the back circle drive by the academic hallway entrance; parents may begin lining up at 3:30 pm. See attached map. 

  • Bus Riders - Please see chinaspringisd.net and the Transportation page for details regarding your student’s bus number. 

  • Student schedules will be viewable on Sunday, August 3 at 3:00 pm via Parent Portal. However, schedules will be distributed at school on Monday, August 4. ALL STUDENTS must pick up their schedule and present it to their teachers with the right colored copy for each period on the first day of school.  We will have two lines- 7th grade will go to the band hall hallway, while 8th grade will come to the long hallway by the cafeteria to pick up schedules.

  • Forms

    • Please sign all forms (Drug Testing/MS Compact/Technology Agreement/Rules) and turn them into the MS Office.

  • NO THIRD PARTY DELIVERIES ACCEPTED ON CAMPUS, ie, DoorDash, Uber Eats.

  • CELL PHONES, AIRPODS, & SMART WATCHES ARE PROHIBITED at CSMS.  Non-school-issued technology must be turned off and stored out of sight.  Should a student need to communicate with a parent/guardian via their personal cell phone, he or she should ask for permission to go to the office to call or text his/her parent.

  • Meet The Teacher is August 19 from 6:00-7:00 pm in the MS PAC. This is a come-and-go event.

  • Attendance

    • Attendance is taken every day during every class period.

    • School starts at 7:55am. Students are tardy after 7:55 am and are marked absent if arrival is after 8:15 am. 

    • Every absence needs to be documented in writing with the front office within three school days of the student returning to school.

  • Schedule change requests begin Tuesday, AUGUST 5th. No schedule change requests are made before this date. CSMS will do its best to accommodate requested schedule changes as is feasible with master schedule, campus requirements, and teacher availability.  The deadline for making changes and getting the appropriate signature will be at 4pm on Tuesday, AUGUST 12th!

  • Schedule change forms can be picked up from the front office, and a parent/guardian signature is required.


From Nurse Nixon

●   Student immunization records MUST be current before students may start classes according to the Texas Department of Health Services. Please reach out to Lisa Nixon at lnixon@chinaspringisd.net if you have any questions or to email a copy of immunization records.

●   Medications also will need to be dropped off with a doctor’s signature for Nurse Nixon to give your student the medication.

ALL STUDENTS MUST BE FULLY REGISTERED TO START SCHOOL ON 8/4/25.

THIS INCLUDES CURRENT ON ALL SHOTS AND ALL REGISTRATION FORMS COMPLETED.

DUES: Class Dues are $20. We accept Cash or Check made out to CSMS or you may pay online

through Myschoolbucks.com - Store, Browse All, Class Dues starting on 8/4/25.

Parent Volunteers gather donations for 3 meals during the year for the staff and teachers. They request one-time donation of $75 or any monetary donation is welcomed.
