Jeff Bradburn - President

Jeff Bradburn, a dedicated member of the China Spring community since 1997, is a respected figure with a history of service and involvement. Married to Crystal since 1994, Jeff is a proud parent to two China Spring ISD graduates, Taylar and Riley. Bradburn's son-in-law, Avery, currently serves as a teacher and the head tennis coach at China Spring High School. His family ties extend with a nephew enrolled at China Spring ISD. Bradburn finds his joy in his granddaughter, Laura Jane, who holds a special place in his heart. As a future China Spring Cougar, Laura Jane undoubtedly is a key motivator for his work in education.

An alumnus of Baylor University, Bradburn earned a bachelor's degree in sports medicine but forged a successful career in Real Estate finance. Currently, he holds the position of senior vice president of production at SWBC Mortgage.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Bradburn is an active leader in his local community. Bradburn has served as a member of the China Spring ISD Board of Trustees since 2013. He was elected to serve as vice president in 2016 and, now, president in 2026. In addition to the School Board, Bradburn served as a member of the Youth Athletic Association Board and the China Spring ISD Hiring Committee. He demonstrates leadership and commitment in his role as president of the Ranch On the Brazos Home Owners Association.

His diverse interests include outdoor activities like fly fishing, hunting, sports, and flying airplanes. However, his true calling lies in his devotion to sharing his faith. As a pastor at Journey Christian Community since February 2007, he actively participates in the China Spring Ministerial Alliance. Bradburn's unwavering love for God serves as the guiding force in his life, and he strives to exemplify Jesus in all aspects, embodying his ultimate mission to introduce the community of China Spring to the teachings of Christ.

Travis Louge - Vice President

Travis Louge joined the CSISD Board of Trustees in 2021. He was elected to serve as vice president in 2026. Born and raised in McLennan County, he graduated from Lorena High School in 2002 and has been a proud member of the China Spring community since 2011. Travis received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tarleton State University in 2008. He has been in the banking and financial services industry since 2006, currently a Vice President (Commercial Lender) at Alliance Bank of Central Texas.

Travis has more than a decade of community and leadership experience working with non-profit organizations including the Greater Waco Chamber (A graduate of Leadership Waco, Class XXXV), Waco Foundation, serving on the board of the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo, chair of the HOT Livestock Greeter committee, treasurer of China Spring Youth Athletics Association, president of Baylor Waco Foundation and most recently served as the Chair of the Bond Advocacy Committee.

He and his wife, Ashley, have two children, Sophia and Colton. Travis is an active member in the community of China Spring, coaching Baseball and Football with CSYAA and volunteering in the youth and children’s ministry at Journey Christian Community, where he and his family are members.

Chris Gerick

Chris Gerick - Secretary

Chris Gerick graduated from Mart High School in 1996 before attending the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB), where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2000 with a double major in management/information systems. During his tenure at UMHB, he excelled as a pitcher on the baseball team, earning a letter for all four years.

In 2007, Gerick and his wife, Staci, relocated to the China Spring community. They are parents to two children, Camden and Caitlyn, both currently enrolled at China Spring ISD.

Gerick began his career at Eagle Systems, Inc., the family security guard business. His role allowed him to gain comprehensive insight into vital business aspects like budgets, payroll accounts receivable, billing, and insurance. In 2014, Gerick and Staci assumed ownership of the business after buying out his father. By December 2020, Eagle Systems boasted an annual revenue surpassing $10 million with a payroll exceeding $7 million. In January of 2021 Eagle Systems was acquired by another firm. In January of 2022 Gerrick joined a local community bank to start his second career as a banker. 

Gerick is an active member of his community. He served on the CSYAA board for over five years as vice president of baseball and president, coached youth sports, acted as a campus Watchdog, and remains an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and volunteer for the Waco-McLennan County United Way. In 2016 Gerick was elected to the CSISD Board of Trustees where he still serves today. He has been a member of the Waco Chamber of Commerce (2006 Leadership Waco graduate), Texas ASSIST, ASIS, TAFHM, and previously the China Spring/Bosqueville Lions Club.

In his spare time, Gerick enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, taking in sporting events, and enjoys an occasional round of golf. Gerick genuinely enjoys serving and giving back to his community.

Anthony Collier

Anthony Collier

Anthony Collier was born and raised in Waco, Texas, and graduated from Parkview Christian Academy in 2005. He attended Dallas Baptist University, where he earned Bachelor of Science in Christian studies and kinesiology in 2009. After spending several years in Florida, Anthony and his family returned to China Spring in 2016 and have proudly called it home ever since.

Anthony serves as a loan officer with SWBC Mortgage, helping families across Texas achieve homeownership. Prior to joining SWBC Mortgage, he worked in the mortgage industry with PHH Mortgage and JPMorgan Chase in multiple roles, including processor, team lead, national trainer and retail underwriter.

Anthony is deeply involved in the China Spring community and is passionate about serving students, teachers and families. He served on the China Spring Education Foundation Board and co-chairs the scholarship committee, helping raise funds for students and educators through initiatives such as Cougar Christmas. He also serves on the Intermediate School Site-Based Committee and previously served on the CSYAA Board as treasurer and on the baseball committee. Anthony has coached youth sports for many years, volunteers at Wellspring Church as a youth leader and setup ministry volunteer, and regularly supports China Spring athletics and community events.

Anthony and his wife, Meagan, have been married since 2011 and have three children attending China Spring ISD. Their family is actively involved in school activities, athletics and church life. Anthony is honored to serve the China Spring community and is committed to supporting students, staff and families while helping continue the tradition of excellence in China Spring ISD.

Julie Daniel

Julie Daniel

Julie Daniel graduated from Northwest High School in 2005. While in high school, she was actively involved in student council and served as state president of the Texas Association of Student Councils her senior year.

She went on to attend the University of Texas at Tyler, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in speech communications. She began her teaching career in Athens ISD, then moved to Crowley ISD and later Mansfield ISD. Her experience includes teaching and coaching at the middle and high school levels. In 2013, she graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a Master of Education in educational leadership.

In 2022, she and her husband, Paul, relocated to China Spring. They have two children, Cooper and Meredith, who attend China Spring schools. Julie is an active member of the China Spring community, volunteering at the schools, serving on the PTA Executive Board in various roles, coaching basketball and softball with CSYAA, and serving as a youth leader in the Wellspring Church student ministry.

When not keeping up with her children's activities or volunteering at the schools, Julie enjoys home improvement projects, crafting, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Trey Oakley

Trey Oakley was elected to the China Spring Independent School District (CSISD) Board of Trustees in 2018. Since relocating to the area in 2013, Oakley, his wife Karen, and their children, Abby and Brady, have been actively involved in the China Spring community. He has enjoyed helping his children and other young people thrive in and out of the classroom thanks to experiences made possible by a strong community and supportive school district.

Oakley served on the China Spring Youth Athletic Association (CSYAA) Board for five years and as president from 2015-2017. He credits the insights and experiences from CSYAA, in addition to interactions with educators and his two decades of service at Methodist Children's Home (MCH), as key motivators for pursuing his role with the CSISD School Board.

Taking on the role of president and CEO of MCH in 2019, Oakley provides leadership and oversees an organization serving more than 10,000 children and families across 14 locations in Texas and New Mexico. He has also served on a number of local, state and national boards and committees offering his insights on education, fundraising, governance and best practices for at-risk populations. Since his election, he has represented CSISD and Region 12 as a delegate at the annual Texas Association of School Boards Assembly.

A graduate of Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, Oakley holds a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in Christian ministry from Truett Seminary at Baylor University.

Oakley sees the role of a trustee as a great honor and an opportunity to be a voice in creating and supporting a vision that positively impacts the students, families, teachers and staff who make CSISD such a special place.

Ashlee Peacock

Ashlee Peacock is a longtime educator, proud graduate of China Spring ISD, community member and devoted mother with a deep passion for supporting students, teachers and families. She has served as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal and principal, dedicating her career to creating positive school cultures where children feel seen, valued and supported. Her experience in education has given her a strong understanding of the importance of academic excellence, student safety and building meaningful relationships between schools and families.

Ashlee and her husband, Matt, have been married 18 years and are raising their four children in the community they love. As both an educator and parent, she brings a unique perspective and firsthand understanding of the needs of students, teachers and families.

As someone who grew up in China Spring and is now raising her own family there, Ashlee is passionate about preserving the values, traditions and strong sense of community that make the district special. She believes in listening to the community, asking thoughtful questions and working together to make informed decisions that keep students at the center. Ashlee considers it an honor to serve and remains committed to representing students, staff and families with integrity, humility and transparency.
