China Spring ISD is announcing the release of the adopted 2026-27 academic calendar for the upcoming school year. The calendar reflects our 4-day (hybrid) instructional week model and was approved by the Board of Trustees during the regular February meeting.

The adopted calendar reflects feedback received throughout the year from teachers, parents, and district advisory committees. The approved calendar includes several important features:
The two required 5-day instructional weeks are scheduled at the beginning of the academic year.
Teachers have five in-service days before the school year begins to prepare classrooms for the first day of school.
Friday, December 18, will be an early dismissal day. This update gives the district extra instructional minutes that may be needed if school is delayed or canceled due to inclement weather.
Key dates for the 2026-27 school year:
First day of school: Monday, August 3
Thanksgiving Break: November 23-27
Winter Break: December 21 - January 1
Spring Break: March 8-12
Last Day of School: Thursday, May 27
