May 4, 2026 - With all McLennan and Bosque County voting centers reporting from the May 2 election for three seats on the China Spring ISD Board of Trustees, unofficial results indicate that Julie Daniel was elected to place 1, Ashlee Peacock was elected to place 2, and Anthony Collier was elected to place 3.
For place 1, Daniel received 410 votes (44.42%) over opponents Holly Dunham, who drew 399 votes (43.23%) and Brad Minnix, who drew 114 votes (12.35%). Daniel will begin their first term.
For place 2, Peacock received 458 votes (49.67%) over opponents Connor Elliott, who drew 317 votes (34.38%) and Frank A. McClellan, who drew 147 votes (15.94%). Peacock will begin their first term.
For place 3, Collier received 464 votes (51.21%) over opponents Jesse Gaston, who drew 139 votes (15.34%), Joseph L. Hopkins, who drew 243 votes (26.82%), and Noey Meza, who drew 60 votes (6.62%). Collier will begin their first term.
Official results from Saturday's election will be canvassed and announced during a special-called Board of Trustees meeting on May 11. The elected candidates to places 1, 2, and 3 will be sworn in during the regular Board of Trustees meeting on May 18.
