The China Spring ISD School Board met on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 6:00 pm.
Each month, faculty and staff are recognized for their outstanding contribution to the students at CSISD. These educators are nominated by their campus principals and confirmed by the administration team. Educators are recognized at the School Board meeting and presented with a plaque. Students from the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Health Science programs provided a demonstration of the skills they are developing in phlebotomy, including techniques in drawing blood. The showcase offered trustees and attendees insight into hands-on learning experiences preparing students for future careers in health care.
Dr. Nick Smith, Executive Director of Special Education, presented the 2025 Results Driven Accountability (RDA) Rating outcomes. China Spring ISD met requirements in all accountability categories, reflecting strong performance across state standards. Dr. Smith commented, “We are lucky to have fantastic students; they are doing a great job on student performance in these special education areas.”
Representatives from Pattillo, Brown, and Hill reviewed the district’s financial audit for the 2024-25 academic year. The auditors rendered an unmodified opinion, the cleanest level of assurance possible. The auditor remarked, “Congratulations on receiving the highest remark.” The board accepted the audit results.
The board also discussed upcoming Board of Trustee elections. The terms of three board positions will expire in May: Place 1, Place 2, and Place 3. Interested members of the China Spring community and incumbents may file an application for a place on the ballot. The deadline to file is Friday, February 13, 2026. Early voting will begin Monday, April 20, 2026, and conclude Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Election Day is May 2, 2026.
